Uganda & Rwanda Travel Guide

Uganda (the Pearl of Africa) and Rwanda sit at the heart of the Albertine Rift. Visas, yellow fever certificates and gorilla-trek age limits (usually 15 years) should be checked before you book permits.

Best time

Dry seasons are easier for savannah parks. Gorillas can be tracked all year. Rwanda’s Volcanoes and Uganda’s Bwindi are both year-round products.

Getting there

Fly into Entebbe (Uganda) or Kigali (Rwanda). We handle the land border when you combine both countries. We do not build Kenya or Tanzania add-ons.
