Booking Terms & Conditions

By booking a tour you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms. Governing law is Uganda.

Permits

Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are sold by UWA (Uganda) and RDB (Rwanda). Once we have paid the park, those permit fees are non-refundable. We collect permit funds before we hold the date.

Payments

A 30% deposit of the land cost confirms lodges and the vehicle (not government permits). The balance is due 30 days before arrival, as stated on your invoice. Deposits are paid by bank transfer, or by a private card-payment link we send on request — not on this website.

Changes and cancellation

Written cancellations, counted from the day we receive them:

  • More than 60 days before arrival: deposit refunded less a US$150 administration fee, and less any non-refundable lodge or permit payments already made.
  • 59–30 days: 50% of the land cost is due.
  • 29–0 days, or no-show: 100% of the land cost is due.

Lodge and domestic-flight rules can be stricter; we pass those through.

Insurance

Every traveller must carry travel insurance that covers safari activities and medical evacuation. We do not sell insurance.

Health and parks

Gorilla trekking requires a reasonable level of fitness. Guests with contagious illness may be refused by park authorities. Park rules (distance, photography, age limits) override this page.

Force majeure

If weather, park closure, political unrest, epidemic, or other events beyond our control prevent a service, we rebook or refund the unused land portion we can recover. We are not liable for unused international flights or unused permits once paid to the park.

Liability

Safari travel carries risk. We are not liable for injury, illness, loss, or delay except where Ugandan law requires. Disputes are heard in Kampala.
