You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala early in the morning by our private 4×4 vehicle and professional English-speaking guide. Enjoy a scenic drive north through the beautiful Ugandan countryside, passing rural villages and rolling hills. You will stop for lunch en route before arriving at Murchison Falls National Park in the late afternoon.

Depart early in the morning for an exciting game drive in the northern sector of the park, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, and Uganda kob. In the afternoon you will board a boat for the spectacular cruise along the Nile River to the base of the falls, where the mighty river explodes through a narrow 7-metre gorge.

After breakfast you will drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park (4–5 hours). You will enjoy beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains and stop for lunch along the way before arriving at your lodge in the heart of the park.

You will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Kasenyi plains, famous for tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, elephants, buffalo, and many antelope species. In the afternoon you will take the famous Kazinga Channel boat safari, one of Africa’s best for close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, and hundreds of birds.

After breakfast you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (4–5 hours) with a lunch stop en route. You will arrive in the late afternoon and your guide will give you a full briefing about tomorrow’s gorilla trek.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for the mandatory briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then trek into the dense ancient rainforest (trek duration 1–6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location). Once you locate the habituated mountain gorilla group, you will spend a magical one hour observing these gentle giants at close range as they feed, play, and interact. In the afternoon you return to the lodge to relax and reflect on this unforgettable experience.

Today is a full day at leisure in Bwindi. You have the option to join a guided cultural walk with the indigenous Batwa pygmies to learn about their traditional forest life, or enjoy a gentle nature walk in the rainforest with your guide. This extra day gives you more time to absorb the magic of the Pearl of Africa.

After breakfast you will depart Bwindi and drive back to Entebbe or Kampala (6–8 hours) with a lunch stop en route. You will arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, ready for your onward flight.
