Day 01 :

Transfer from Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala (or directly from Entebbe International Airport) by our private 4×4 vehicle and professional English-speaking guide. Enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills and countryside of Uganda, with a stop for lunch en route. You will arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the late afternoon. In the evening your guide will give you a full briefing about tomorrow’s gorilla trek and what to expect.

Day 02 :

Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for the mandatory briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then trek into the dense ancient rainforest (trek duration 1–6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location). Once you locate the habituated mountain gorilla group, you will spend a magical one hour observing these gentle giants at close range as they feed, play, and interact. In the afternoon you return to the lodge to relax and reflect on this unforgettable experience. Optional evening community walk with the local people is available.

Day 03 :

Optional Batwa Cultural Experience and Return to Entebbe/Kampala

After breakfast you have the option to join a guided cultural walk with the indigenous Batwa pygmies to learn about their traditional forest life. After lunch you will depart Bwindi and drive back to Entebbe or Kampala (6–8 hours) with a lunch stop en route. You will arrive in the late afternoon or early evening.
